Collaborative Map Prototype Rubric

Working with exemplars from each assessment level and from whole-class discussions, the teacher and students will collaborate to define what elements would constitute an outstanding prototype product - in this case a garden map. Students will opportunities to share their ideas and the class as a whole will decide as a group what performance criteria is important to assess, and what level of performance meets each assessment level. Specific learning outcomes and connections to the Alberta Program of Studies will be listed for each performance criterion. An example of a typical student-driven, teacher-guided product is presented below:
